News that signs of a degenerative condition similar to human arthritis has been found in the jaw of a pliosaur, an ancient sea reptile that lived 150 million years ago, was covered by The Times, the Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The Mirror, The Express, Metro, ITV News, BBC Scotland, BBC World Service, CBC, Times of India, New York Daily News and other media around the world.
The research was carried out by Dr Judyth Sassoon in the School of Earth Sciences.
